Adam Maynard
Postdoctoral Associate
Adam is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Claussnitzer Lab within the Type 2 Diabetes Systems Genomics Initiative. The goal of his research is to investigate adipose-depot specific genetic regulatory mechanisms and functionally characterize adipose-depot linked genetic loci associated with adverse cardiometabolic traits. Prior to joining the Broad Institute, Adam earned his PhD from the Biological and Biomedical Sciences program at Harvard Medical School where he studied one-carbon metabolism in the context of erythroid differentiation. He has a B.S. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Outside of lab, Adam enjoys biking, hiking, and camping.
