Mayank Murali
Associate Computational Biologist I
Mayank Murali is an Associate Computational Biologist I at the Claussnitzer Lab. He earned his MS in Computer Science from Penn State, focusing his thesis on benchmarking metagenome assemblers using PacBio HiFi data. Following his graduation, he worked at the Sheynkman Lab, University of Virginia, where he engaged in proteogenomics research. His work primarily addressed human diseases such as coronary artery disease (CAD), osteoporosis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Passionate about the intricate network biology of human diseases, Mayank aims to leverage his skills in the cardiometabolic field to uncover new insights.
Outside research Mayank enjoys recreational soccer, volleyball, and badminton.
