Raghav Bhardwaj
Raghav Bhardwaj is a Research Associate II in the Claussnitzer lab within the Type 2 Diabetes Systems Genomics initiative. His work is centered on exploring regulatory elements and molecular networks that control adipose tissue biology, particularly in the context of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Prior to joining the Broad Institute, Raghav was an Associate Scientist at a biotechnology company called Avidity Biosciences where he contributed towards the development of antibody oligonucleotide therapeutics for rare genetic muscular dystrophies. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of California San Diego and conducted his thesis work investigating the metabolic effects of time-restricted feeding on sarcopenia and circadian decline at the Salk Institute.
Outside of work, Raghav loves hiking, surfing, longboarding, playing soccer and dancing salsa/bachata.
