Sanchari Datta
Postdoctoral Associate
Sanchari obtained her Ph.D. from UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas in Cell and Molecular Biology, where she studied spatial organization of lipid metabolism at inter-organelle membrane contact sites. Following that, she studied intracellular mitochondrial lipid trafficking mechanisms as a postdoc at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri. She joined Claussnitzer lab in May 2023, where she is working on natural genetic variation screen with a focus on defining how cellular functions of adipocytes are affected in metabolic diseases.
When not conducting research, Sanchari enjoys exploring new places, hiking, and trying out new restaurants and cuisines.
