Timothy Audam

Research Scientist I

Tim is currently focused on understanding the mechanistic basis of the genetic association between the 9p21.3 locus and cardiometabolic diseases. His work aims to identify potential druggable targets for coronary artery disease.

Tim earned his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. As an American Heart Association (AHA) Pre-doctoral Fellow, he explored the impact of metabolic enzymes on cardiac structure and function. Post-PhD, he conducted post-doctoral research, studying metabolic flux in healthy and diseased tissues using mass spectrometry.

Outside the laboratory, Tim enjoys hiking and cooking Nigerian delicacies.
